In this paper, a number of dynamic experiments were carried out by nonuniform electromagnetic flowmeter on multiphase flow loop facility for tap water and three concentration/viscosity polymer solutions. Through the dynamic experimental data analysis, a novel method was proposed by using the calibration equation in tap water for laminar regime to calculate the flow rate of high viscous fluid in polymer injection wells. Errors were evaluated by using the method to measure high viscous fluid on multiphase flow loop facility, indicating that the new method is effective and feasible. In addition, this method can greatly improve the calibration efficiency of flowmeters.
