BI-BASED SUPERCONDUCTOR CONTAINING SB AND PB

PURPOSE:To obtain a Bi-based superconductor contg. Sb and Pb by rendering a compsn. represented by a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:Compds. of Sb, Pb, Bi, Sr, Ca and Cu are weighed by prescribed amts., mixed and dried to obtain a powdery mixture. This mixture is subjected to primary calcining at 800-830 deg.C and secondary calcining at 830-868 deg.C to obtain the title superconductor represented by the formula (where alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta and x are the mol numbers of the elements, 3=alpha=6, 2=beta=4, 17=gamma=22, 19=delta=24, 14=epsilon=18 and 32=zeta=42). The mixture may be press-molded before the primary firing as required.
