The plastic mass is formed from 20 to 40 parts by weight of a polyolefin and 80 to 60 parts by weight of a particulate inorganic filler, and 1 to 5 parts by weight has an average particle size between 0.01 and 0.1 micron and the rest gramulométrie an average of between 1 and 10 microns. This enables mass production of single-layer or multilayer articles such as sheets and pipes which have improved rigidity and good impact resistance.
