The method applies to the petro-chemical industry. It helps the reduction of the of nitric acid consumption and the process duration. With the method, solid hydrocarbons are destructively processed under pressure up to 5 MPa; they react with the nitric acid for 3:4 hours at temperatures from 100 to 120 degrees C in a presence of 3.0 percent potassium nitrite or stearates of metals with variable valency. The ratio of the acid used is 1:1 to 2:1 with respect to the starting raw materials. The obtained reaction products are separated from the used nitric acid, then water-rinsed until a neutral reaction and dried.
