ROTARY MOWER MOUNTED ON A ONE-AXLE WALK-BEHIND TRACTOR

A rotary mower on a single axle tractor has wheels which (7) are in friction contact with friction rollers (28) driven on a transverse shaft (27) by a drive unit (5). The drive unit (5) drives two front vertical rotary cutter drums (6), of which the first (6) is directly coupled to the drive unit (5), and the second is coupled to it (5) through a set of reversing gears (15). The drive (5) transmission to the drums (6) is by a vee belt system (11, 12, 13, 14), and the reversing gears (15) comprise a gear (17) mounted on the shaft of the second drum in mesh with another gear (16) axially coupled to a belt driven pulley (14).
