IMPROVED PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CYCLODEXTRINE LIPOPHIL ORGANIC COMPOUNDS, MAINLY FOR THE PRODUCTION OF INCLUSION COMPLEXES OF AROMATIC OILS

The inner surface closed-ring cyclodextrins prepd. from 6,7 or 8 gluco-pyranose is apolar. This allows penetration of apolar organic cpds. as lipophilic organic cpds., esp. essential oils into the molecular ring. - A reasonably stable inclusion complex is formed, both chemically and physiclaly. Inclusion is not dependent on presence of organic solvents. Provided an aq. emulsion is formed by agitation of molecules to be included, a reaction will take place with an aq. dispersion of cyclodextrin. Nonionic emulsifiers are used in preference, for quest' molecules.
