Thermosyphon-type solar collector - has absorbent body on side of manifold furthest from absorber

The thermosyphon-type solar collector has a closed t circuit for the heat-transfer medium containing a radiation-absorber and a heat-exchanger in a tap-water-storage tank. At the top of the absorber is a horizontal manifold delivering the medium from it to the exchanger. At the side of the manifold furthest from the absorber is a solar-radiation absorbent body in line with the absorber itself, and from which heat is transferred to the manifold. The body can be of aluminium.
