Monoclonal antibodies to tumour associated antigens have bound to them a metallic radionuclide, either directly or by means of a chelating agent such as diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) conjugated to the antibody. When parenterally administered to a subject, the labelled monoclonal antibody localizes in the tumour and can be detected by photoscanning to detect emitted radiation.
