The processing of a fibrous composition, preferably of waste paper, is described, wherein particles of a thermoplastic are attached to the fibres, without causing interference with the paper production on the paper machine. The fibrous material is preferably used for producing raw paper for corrugated board. At the elevated temperatures in the machine for producing the corrugation for the corrugated board, the thermoplastic agglomerates in the paper and leads to an improvement in the properties of the corrugation and of the corrugated board produced therewith.
