METHOD OF AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE COUPLED WITH ITS ASSOCIATED TRANSMISSION SYSTEM BY MEANS OF FLEXIBLE COUPLING, IN PARTICULAR FOR USE IN ASSOCIATION WITH TWIN-ENGINES USED FOR PROPELLING SHIPS THROUGH A COMMON TRANSMISSION GEAR
1. The method for internal combustion engine regulating, the engine being connected to power transmission system through a flexible coupling, applicable particularly to marine propeller propulsion engines set in a series of at least two, with common gearing. The engine real speed is measured and compared to the set speed value; then the difference thus received is converted by a standard regulator into a signal affecting fuel dosing for the internal combustion engine. The method is distinctive in that it measures simultaneously the difference in angular velocity of shaftline elements situated on both sides of the flexible coupling; the value thus received is converted by a regulator into a signal correcting fuel dosing for the internal combustion engine; this signal is added to the signal received from measuring the difference between the real the set speed values; the resultant signal thus received is used to regulate fuel dosing for the internal combustion engine.5. The system for internal combustion engine regulating, the engine being connected to power transmission system through a flexible coupling, applicable particularly to marine propeller propulsion engines set in a series of at least two with common gearing equipped with a loop containing a standard speed governor the system is distinctive in that it applies a regulating loop formed by two speedometers located on both sides of the flexible coupling (3) IMAGE
