Heat pump with Peltier element for heating and cooling - has heat from cooling flanges on Peltier element moved away by one or more cooling fans or transferred to fluids by hollow formations replacing cooling flanges
The pump consists of one or more Peltier elements (1) surrounded by cooling units, e.g. flanges (2, 3), which, when the Peltier elements are fed with alternating current, remain heated. The flanges are cooled by an air current (7) from a fan via the transformer (4) which drives the Peltier elements. The Peltier elements, the transformer and the fan are enclosed in a casing (6) through which air is fed by the fan to the required space for heating. The heating effect is regulated by the frequency of the alternating current. The input electrical effect is phase-compensated to increase the degree of efficiency. The heat available from the Peltier elements is transferred to fluids by the cooling flanges being replaced by hollow formations in contact with the elements. (Provisional basic advised week 9233).
