This invention is a type of electric connection that is used a great deal in the production of graphite electrodes for arch ovens. It is a ring that's diameter is equal to that of the electrode to be graphitised with a cavity. Its sectioned crown contains graphite powder. The ring is inserted between the heads of the electrode to be graphitise. This is to assure that a current flows in the desired section as provided for by the rules of technology for the production of electrodes for arch ovens.
