Transparent wood-protecting compsn. from fungi and insects - contains biocide, siccative mixt., solvent and isocyanate-modified linseed oil

Transparent wood-protecting liq. compsn. (I) comprises isocyanate-modified linseed oil (L) and a siccative mixt. (M), which make up the largest component of the dry substances, a solvent (S) (chiefly consisting of aliphatic, hydrocarbon-free liqs.) and a biocide (B). (M) is composed of Mn-, Zr- and Ca cpds., and (I) also contains an oxime-based anti-peeling agent. (B) is esp. N,N-diaryl-N'-aryl- N'-(trihalomethylthio) -sulphamide. The solvent is a mixt. of ester alcohols and glycol ethers. In partic. the main component of (S) is a glycol-mono ester and the minor component is a glycol-monoether. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is used in the form of a paint or a gloss and has good penetration into wood. It protects the wood against waer, cold and UV light. (I) is environmentally friendly, as is the prepn. of (I). (I) is non-toxic to humans and pets.
