Method for consolidating soils and underground structures and rendering them impermeable by the automatic filling of pores and spaces. Method based on the injection of a gel obtained by mixing and reacting two chemical components, the injection producing internal pressures generated in situ in the forming gels obtained from low viscosity reagent solutions. Thus a liquid volume is introduced in such a way that when gelling begins the forming gel swells and expands spontaneously, progressively and with self- acceleration, advancing slowly and radially through the pores, starting as its centre from the borehole through which the injection was made. Swelling of the gelatinous mass is caused by the release of oxygen gas at low pressure, producing a chemical reaction between the two liquid components, which takes place in situ. The field of operation corresponds to work on the cementing, stabilisation and consolidation of soils, rocky formations, structures and the like.
