ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe present invention is directed to an episomalexpression vector with an efficient expression potentialof cloned DNA sequences. The single vector plasmid ofthis invention joins DNA-fragments, which allows extrachromosomal replication of the vector in a wide selec-tion of host cells and fragments, which give thetransfected cells resistance for a selection drug and amammalian expression cassette comprising one of thestrongest eucaryotic enhancers known at present. Thevector also carries appropriate promoter and transcrip-tion processing signals. This new combination providesthis expression vector with several properties thatmakes it optimal to be used in transfection of celllines suitable for production and expression of foreigncDNAs joined into this vector with high efficiency.
