MUTING CIRCUIT IN A DIGITAL AUDIO SYSTEM

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA muting circuit which mutes noises generatedinstantaneously whilst turning off the power, or noises ofnull data generated by the data distorted by an externalor internal influence. The muting circuit in a digitalaudio system mutes interfering beat noises which aregenerated by pop noises during the process of muting. Thebeat noises are generated because of data distored by thepop noises during the turning off of the system power orby an external source. A preferred embodiment includes adigital signal processor (DSP), a first latch, a secondlatch, a comparator, an address encoder, a counter, amemory, a divider, a multiplier, and a first switchingcircuit.
