AbstractAn improved rotary paint atomizing device of thetype having an internal chamber for receiving paint froma paint feed tube extending coaxially through a driveshaft which rotates the device at a high speed. Anannular insert is clamped between the drive shaft andthe device for forming a rear wall of the paintreceiving chamber. The insert prevents paint fromsplashing into the annular space between the rotatingdrive shaft and the stationary paint feed tube. Whenthe device is removed from the shaft, The separateinsert permits easy access to the paint receivingchamber for cleaning.
