In a heat recovery appliance for a dryer, the combination of a cross-flow heat exchanger module comprising a diamond-shaped group of heat-exchange surfaces placed on opposite sides and defining between them a plurality of open channels in which a first flow of a relatively cold medium - the ambient air - passes through the group of channels in relation to exchange heat with a second flow of air coming from a dryer which passes through another group of channels, said channels ending in an inlet surface and in an outlet surface corresponding to the sections of each group of channels, said surfaces extending over the entire width of the side of a diamond group and comprising a closed housing capable of include said exchanger, four hermetic cells with gasket and partition for separating moist air from dry hot air and comprising motor air circulation means, l e all combined in said housing and forming a cross system for recovering heat from a dryer.
