SHAPING PADDED INSETS FOR CLOTHING ARTICLES

Padded insets comprise an elastic moulded part (12) made of non woven fibrous materials with an outer sheath (14). The moulded part (12) is composed of a homogeneously mixed, shaped pulp of cellulose-containing fibres melded at many spots to fibres in at least one thermoplastic material, forming a highly resistant net-like layer, as well as of an elastic outer sheath (14). In order to produce the moulded parts (12), the homogeneously mixed cellulose-containing fibres and plastic fibres that compose the moulded parts (12) are heated up to a temperature that is slightly inferior to the combustion temperature of cellulose, until the plastic material is melted. These padded insets, preferably made of fibrous cleansed recycled materials, are particularly useful as shoulder and brassière pads.
