HIV p17 ASSAYS FOR MONITORING DEVELOPMENT OF AIDS

The medical condition of individuals seropositive for antibodies against the human immunodeficiency virus can be controlled and predicted by determining intermittently level of p17 HIV and / or anti-p17 antibodies in free complexion body fluid. p24 levels of HIV and free complexing anti-p24 can be determined simultaneously to obtain maximum importance prognostic information. The level of p17 can be measured by heterogeneous sandwich ELISA. The level of anti-p17 antibodies can be measured by analysis of binding capacity using the same ELISA and the exogenous p17.
