Method of thermally shaping polymethyl methacrylate sheets, and the shaped products

A method is described for thermoforming a poly(methyl methacrylate) sheet exhibiting a reduced viscosity of at least 1.5 and protected, on at least one of its faces, by a film, in intimate contact with it, of an ethylene polymer which has been subjected to a corona discharge treatment. According to the invention the protective film of ethylene polymer which is employed has been coated with a layer of acrylic adhesive after having been subjected to the corona treatment.
