The invention relates to therapeutic compositions containing polyhexanide for the treatment of various forms of herpes (dermic, ocular and genital). Therapeutic compositions, characterised in that a non-toxic active principle, polyhexanide, is dissolved or dispersed in an appropriate vehicle to permit a proper application on the skin and the mucosae, such that a therapeutic efficacy may be obtained after a few days of topical treatment.
