A cuboid monolithic body made by sintering a multiplicity of layers of finely divided ceramic material is provided with alternating metal coatings as internal electrodes and with external metallisations, the metal coatings being applied by printing (screen printing), and containing at least one noble metal, in particular an element from the group comprising Ag, Au, Pd, Pt, as essential constituent.
