The invention relates to a calibration apparatus for adjusting fuel pumps, particularly in the road sector. This apparatus is placed on a vehicle, specifically on a trailer. From there, gas may be returned to the storage tank of the service station by means of a pipe (72) either with the influence of gravity or using a pump. An electric generator (78) which can be driven by a belt transmission (79-84) connected to a vehicle wheel (2) can charge an accumulator (87), and a pressure vessel (88, 89) containing a non-flammable gas under pressure, such as carbon dioxide, handles the remote control of the discharge valve (20). A control device for controlling in time the functions of the apparatus is then proposed.
