Carbon dioxide formation is suppressed when a morpholine and a 2-(2-aminoalkoxy) alkanol are simultaneously produced by reacting an anhydrous dialkylene glycol, preferably diethylene glycol, with ammonia in the presence of added hydrogen over a catalyst at a temperature of 150 to 300°C and a pressure of 1.45 to 34.60 MPa, when the catalyst is a nickel-copper-chromium oxide catalyst used in combination with a supported ruthenium catalyst.
