The device has the fluid line (FL) passed through a hollow waveguide (HL) with a rectangular cross-section at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the latter. The hollow waveguide (HL) has at least one opening (MEO) for supplying it with microwave energy, so that the fluid in the fluid line (FL) is heated by the microwaves. The hollow waveguide (HL) is short-circuited at each end. The openings (FEO) for passage of the fluid line (FL) and the microwave energy, supply openings (MEO) provided in the orthogonal faces of the waveguide (HL).
