A resin moulded insulator body (11) carries at least one electrode (21) for high voltages. On the metal housing (3) is attached a holder (7). There is at least one field control element (28) of electrically conductive plastic coupled by moulding onto the insulator (11). The regions of the region of the insulator in which mechanical stresses can appear due to thermal and/or mechanic loading, and which lie in the region of criticl mechanical loading of the body, include at least one field control element (26) of electrically conductive plastic.
