The omnibus has a chassis which has two main longitudinal beams (9). At least one of these beams (9) has a part of its length cut away. The gap in the beam is then bridged with a floor which is formed by a braced structure (13, 20). At each end of this braced structure (13, 20) a cross-beam (14, 15) (22, 23) is fitted and is fastened to the remaining parts of the longitudinal beam (9a, 9b, 9c, 9d). The longitudinal beams (9) are cut away in the region of the entrance and exit doors in order to provide a low access platform. USE - Chassis structure for bus.
