The chassis frame for a commercial vehicle has two parallel-extending longitudinal beams (1) which are spaced apart by cross-members. A spring strut support as an abutment for a spring strut (24) of an individual wheel suspension is fastened on each longitudinal beam in the region of an axle. The spring strut support is constructed as a generally U-form spring strut bridge (4) which fits over a cut-out provided in the longitudinal beam in the vehicle's longitudinal direction in such a way that the spring strut bridge forms a part of the upper edge fiber of the longitudinal beam.
