A device for pressing meats comprises several pressing plates mounted above each other to support the meat. Each pressing plate is formed of an upper meat supporting part and a lower meat pressing part, both having the form of a grating. The pressing part, plates are each connected to a scissor jack which closes or opens when an operating screw is rotated by a cranked hangle. USE/ADVANTAGE - The device allows simultaneous pressing and smoking of meats and gives the meat the appearance of been grilled.
