Equipment and process for de-watering solid-liquid mixts. using an inclined conveyor with an upper, de-watered solids outlet and a lower trough with overflow for liq. discharge; the solids bed being subjected to vibration as it is advanced. ADVANTAGE - The sepn. of solids, including fines, from slurries, in a single, efficient operation. Dwg. shows an inclined conveyor (1) with oscillating solids moving grating (6), and a magneto-vibrator (2). In operation free water (4) flows down the surface of the solids towards the lower outlet, assisted by the solids levelling produced by the swinging movement of the grating as it advances the solids up the inclined bed-plate (7) towards the upper outlet (8).
