The seagoing vessel carries containers, which are positioned in guide rails up to an area above the main deck (5). A superstructure (2) extends over at least 50 percent of the length of the vessel. - The outer skin of the vessel extends as cargo hold structure into the area above the main deck, and encloses the containers stowed here around the sides. Above the main deck, the containers are stowed in guide rails, across the whole width of the vessel, into the area of the outer skin, minus the space required for reinforcements for the outer skin (8) above the main deck.
