Tablets or dragees for chewing contg. sucralphate contain at least one physiologically acceptable gel former, are claimed. The formulations also contain at least one sugar and/or sugar replacement. The wt. ratio sucralphate.to gel former is 10:1-100:1. The gel former is xanthan gum, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose or sodium. The wt. ratio of sucralphat to sugar or sweetener is 2:1-10:1. The sweetener is sorbitol or mannitol. -
