The identity card (1) has a first information carrier (2), pref. a hologram, which carries information for validation checking, and a second information carrier (10), pref. a hole pattern or a hologram, with different information for each card for checking individuality. The second information carrier can be a pattern of holes in the card or a hologram of a pattern of holes. The first carrier is central and the same for all cards. The second is decentral and different for each card. A programming device produces the second information carrier on a card with the first carrier already on.
