The circular cutter is for slicing foodstuffs, esp. sausage and cheese. It works with an eccentric disc and is power driven to rotate in one direction. The eccentric disc is driven in the opposite direction by a second power unit. The cutter (1) is inclined and tapered (7) towards the outer cutting edge (6), and on the reverse side there is a backing cutter (2) which is cone shaped radially towards the perimeter at an angle (36) to the plane of the obverse side (25). The body (37) of the cutter on its reverse side near the backing cutter (2) has a reduction in cross-section (14). USE/ADVANTAGE - Circular cutter produces a well formed stack of cut slices.
