Measuring surface distribution of emitted pref. radioactive radiation - indexing gp. of distributed detectors having same shutter aperture settings and sensitive to low radiation levels
The distribution measurement is effected via a group of detectors at a defined relative spacing. Each detector (16) receives radiation via a shutter with identical aperture settings. The detector group in a measuring head (10) is indexed relative to the scanned surface between individual measuring positions spaced according to the aperture setting or a multiple of the latter. The detector head is maintained in each measuring position for a defined measuring internal. Pref., the detector head is movable across the scanned surface in two orthogonal directions via perpendicular tracking rods. USE/ADVANTAGE - Radiographic thin-film chromatography. Genetic analysis of DNA fragments in get under effect of electric field for electrophoresis with separations, sorting and assembly according to radioactive markings.
