Coin operated gaming machines of the `fruit' machine type (1,2) are controlled by microcomputer. One of the machines has three discs (3,4,5) and the other three drums (12-14), that are controlled in a pseudo-random cycle. Located between the two machines is a central unit (22) that controls the processing of coins and losses. The unit has inputs (23-25) and outputs (32,33) for the coins and one slot (24) is provided for entry of credit cards. A display (26) indicates the amounts entered and coin. The central unit can also be used as a money changing system. ADVANTAGE - Does not require individual money handling devices for each machine. Increases security against robbery.
