The litz lead end sleeve is made from a conductive metal band, e.g. a brass band with a thickness of 0.25 mm, subjected to mechanical deformation for forming a closely packed raster of indents via a die stamp and a cooperating die matrix. The latter have corresp. pyramid shaped projections and pyramid shaped recesses. These are offset by half the pattern spacing so that the pyramid points of the die stamp fit in the pyramid recesses of the die matrix and vice versa. USE/ADVANTAGE - Domestic appliance such as working machine, dishwasher, drier, refrigerator. Can be mass produced in cable confectioning machine. Reduced wear on die tool yet withstanding greater tensile stress.
