The operating device comprises an intraoral sensor field (12) which can be operated by the tongue, to supply switch signals to the microcomputer control. The sensor field (12) is provided by a plate, shaped to fit into the mouth, with a number of sensors (0..10) spaced across its surface, for operation by the tongue. - The sensors (0..10) are provided as open bores in which the tip of the tongue can be inserted, the spacing between the sensors (0..10) allows a signal sequence to be provided by simultaneous operation of more than one sensor (0..10).
