Moulding raw material comprises flyash (7) and expanded clay (8), the expanded clay embedded in the bonded flyash, and surfaces 96) of the moulding (1) is glazed. Expanded clay (8) is pref. in amt. 40-60 % by vol of the ceramic material. The binder may be clay, the flyash : clay wt. ratio pref. of 8 - 3:2-7. USE/ADVANTAGE - Mfr. rapidly from inexpensive raw materials.
