The clay tile for roofs is separated into at least one corrugation crest (1) and corrugation hollows (2,3), and with one edge formed by a groove provided with roll mouldings (4) and the other edge with a convexity (5). The corrugation crests and hollows and groove with the roll mouldings on the one edge and the convexity of the other edge in the head region (8) on the roof outer surface continues up to the end of the tile without change of shape. The corrugation hollows on the underside of the tile have a cross section curved inwards or outwards by which the bearing surface on the roof batten is reduced.
