Substrate (I) is for the prodn. of a flexible, sheet-like substrate coated with a porous adhesive layer. (I) has a microscopically corrugated, folded fissured or furrowed surface, the adhesive is easily removed from its surface, and it is largely impermeable to air. Pref. (I) is produced by applying liq. plastic (II) to a flexible base, pref. by means of a device with a structured surface, esp. a suction device, pref. a porous device, esp. pref. a foam roller or a rotating foam belt, so that a surface structure is imparted to the plastic before it hardens; alternatively, the plastic is applied by a conventional spray process and its surface is then structured with a device as above.
