Expansion comensator in power station - consists of pipe sections connected by external bellows and fitted with internal baffles

The internally baffled compensator is for air-suspended solids flows. It should consist of a repeatedly radially divided pipe (1) whose sections (2) (3) (4) are fitted with baffle sheets (5, 6, 7) and are joined relatively movably to one another by connecting elements resembling bellows pleats (10). The hseets are pref. roof shaped with angles such that adjacent shet flanks stand parallel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Power stations, transport pipes at different levels. Bellows pleats link up pipe sections to allow for expansion and fiferences in height.
