The windings (2) of the stator (1) are shifted in phase to each other, depending on the rotational angular position of the rotor (3), determined by the optical angle transmitter (4), and AC voltages are applied building up together a rotating voltage system. With the loading of the motor, the phase position of the rotating voltage system is shifted, depending on the loading of the motor compared to the phase position of the rotating voltage system in the no load operation of the motor. The phase of the rotating voltage system is advanced with an increasing loading of the motor. The motor loading is established by measuring the load current flowing through the stator windings (2).
