The pulsed current source produces a pulsed, d.c. for a load. A unit (SE) controls the pulsing of the source. Another unit (ST) provides a current source. A first electronic switching unit (SF), controlled by the unit (SE) in respect of phase, is connected by one pole to the current source. A working branch (W) is connected to the other pole of the first switching unit and extends to an impedance separating stage and also the load (XL) with a voltage source. It is possible to have a second electronic switch in opposite phase to the first and, in addition to the working branch, a wattless branch with another voltage source.
