Bearing pedestal for wind power installations - has bearing housing longitudinally split in rotor shaft region into upper and lower parts

The bearing pedestal has a bearing housing with sockets for front and rear rotor shaft bearings. The housing (2) is divided at the rotor shaft (1) region to give an upper (2b) and lower part (2a). The latter has a shaft retainer (7) and a shaft lifter (8). Pref. the two housing parts form a bearing socket mount for the shaft bearing, and have flanges (10, 11), with the bottom part flanges (10) connecting to shaft holding collars. The retainer consists of securing rods (14) below, or both sides, of the rotor shaft. USE/ADVANTAGE - For wind power plants etc. with facility for inspection, maintenance, replacement of bearing parts.
