Very high speed camera with extremely high image frequency - has input plane of optical fibres for sensor in image plane of ends of optical fibres

An input plane for a sensor is provided in the image plane consisting of the ends of an optical fibre bundle with random arrangement of the individual fibres. There is an allocation of the other optical fibre ends to the respective geometrical location of the individual fibres. The other optical fibre ends are aligned each with an opto-electronic receiver. There is a high order memory with parallel access for the individual signals of the receivers, after a preceding A/D conversion. Pref. the optical fibre ends in the input plane form a line, or alternately, a two-dimensional matrix. USE/ADVANTAGE - For very high speed camera, e.g. for vehicle crash test or explosion analysis, with high sensitivity at rapid imaging required, combined with electronic evaluation.
