A control signal releasing an interrupt is of longer time duration than the other control signals. Control signals which release a non-collision interrupt are of shorter time duration than those which release a collision interrupt. After an address or data transmission on the data line (1) to a receiving appts. (IC1,IC2,IC3), the receiving appts. sends back a confirmation signal on the control line (2). This confirmation signal has the shortest time duration of all the control signals. The appts. (IC1,IC2,IC3) are responsive via addresses, each address comprising an appts. address and a sub-address corresp. to the individual functions of the appts. Individual appts. can be brought together in a group or groups, and a group is responsive via a single common address. ADVANTAGE - Rapid data transmission.
