The trajectory tracking system uses a laser light source (16) at the rear of the missile (18) and a stationary measuring sensor (12) at the missile launcher using an imaging lens (22) and a number of photosensitive elements. The laser light source (16) may use a semiconductor laser, or a super luminescence diode, with a pulsed operating mode. The photosensitive elements at the measuring sensor (12) are pref. arranged in a circular configuration, for detecting the roll angle of the missile (18), to allow connection pulses to be transmitted to the latter. USE - For maintaining required missile flight path.
