Fluid flow speed measuring arrangement - contains sensor coil, valve wheel with magnetic vanes downstream of fixed rotor which induces rotary fluid motion

The arrangement has a tube (8) with an axially mounted vane wheel (3) with magnetic vanes (3a) and a coil (10) in the region of or mounted in the tube wall. The vanes induce a voltage in the coil. The vane wheel is flat and an impact body (1) is mounted upstream of it. The impact body is a fixed rotor which sets the flow into rotary motion. The tube has a radial bore in which a temp. sensor can be mounted. ADVANTAGE - Enables economical measurement of flow speed and hence throughput of pref. fluid medium.
